When we check in plates outside room are not cleared. Bathrobe short of 1. No laundry bag.

I like the location as it is at Malioboro street and despite how busy it is we hardly hear any noise at night. Breakfast spread a lot of choices especially desserts.

The friendly and helpful staff. Ari at reception who checked us in early and gave us rooms on the same high floor was cheerful and helpful with our requests. Reza from the rooftop cafe was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Always smiling. The housekeeping staff was also good at service delivery.

We were not too impressed by the international spread at breakfast. However the local food spread was delicious. On the whole our stay was great and we would stay again if ever we were in Yogjakarta.

Everything: staff and staff again with most caring, friendly and helpful hospitality, breakfast, location, parking, rates.

No hangers in the room, dim light

- Location was right smack in maliaboro street with convenience stores, Mcdonald's and KFC nearby. The shops along the street that are not suited for my shopping though. - Staff are really friendly. - Room is generally clean. - Tip: Most drivers will turn into the hotel from Maliaboro street. It is a problem on weekends as there is always a jam. Instead, ask your driver to turn in from Mataram Street. Just tell the staff (if they are stationed at the T-junction between Perwakilan Street and Mataram Street) that you are going Novotel and they would let you through.

- There were random ants everywhere. On the table, near the kitchen sink, in the cabinet. - There is cigarette smell whenever we come back to the room. I suspect the ventilation is not great within the hotel. After turning on the aircon, it becomes okay. - Bathroom floor might be a little slippery. - Spa is still under renovation. So they had to do massage in our rooms. There was a spa menu that they placed in the hotel lobby and we wanted to do body and facial massage. But the staff said there is no facial massage. In addition, they also didnt check how long we wanted to do our massage for during booking and we had wanted 90 mins (which is in the spa menu) but end up, the staff said only can do 60 mins. - For females, please avoid Room 506. The window faces this unknown corridor, and the window can be opened up from inside. I had to always check before I sleep and even then, I get worried that someone might enter through the window. - The lift card scan doesn't even work. Whether you scan your card or not, you are able to press any of the hotel floors. This means that anyone can access the hotel floors actually. - Hotel breakfast is not too great in taste but has a decent spread. We went around 9.30am and most food are gone and what's left is tough to chew. Tried going at 6.30am but the noodles are cold, though relatively nice.

Good location where Hotel have connection way with Malioboro mall so we can purchase food/drink as our requirement. Also we can go to Malioboro street which become local tourism center at Jogjakarta. Relative near with Jogja train station.

We are party of 2 - my mum (80 yo) and myself (52 yo). We liked it that the hotel is close to Malioboro where action is happening. We enjoyed walking around the hotel. I used swimming pool everyday and enjoyed it very much. Breakfast was good with lots of variety. Room is spacious with microwave and sofa to just relax. Bathroom is also nice with rain shower. Hotel is putting Covid protocol enough although could be better. Check in and out was smooth.

Communication via booking.com was challenging - I have to follow up with phone calls. Room has microwave but would be nice to have basic cutlery in the room. Bfast 1st day was served by hotel staffs given covid situation. But in 2nd day, they didnt do that anymore and instead provided guests with plastic gloves. I noticed fruits, salads and breads were exposed with no cover - NOT GOOD! Swimming pool on 2nd day was crowded, more than 10 people around the pool, making noise and when I left the pool - 2 people are sharing one swimming lane. I then called the reception and reported about this. Not sure what the follow up. TV has bad reception, called hotel staff, tried to fix it but no luck, so we ended up not watching TV - which is OK. Bathroom is fine but "too modern" for my mum's taste. Door cant be easily closed - was too heavy for my mum. Also would be nice to have dim light in the bathroom to lead the way in the middle of the night.

Bathroom floor too slippery

The room is veey spacious. Breakfast selection is good. Staff is very helpful and friendly

The sofa in the bedroom is very bulky, make it very tight when u add aextra bed. Otherwise, all is great.
